Learning Late Egyptian: grammar and texts
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
By the end of this class, students will be able to read and analyse Late Egyptian texts (c. 1350-900 av. J-Chr.).
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Good command of Classical Egyptian.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
- Explanation of Late Egyptian grammatical system in a diachronic perspective.
- Reading Late Egyptian texts in standardized hieroglyphic transcriptions.
