Learning unit contents

Introduction to narratological discourse and literary terminology. Analysis of prose texts and poetry written by modern Flemish and Dutch authors

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

(1) Acquisition of analytical skills required to decode and interpret poems and prose texts and (2) improvement of proficiency in Dutch

The course is taught in Dutch. Language level required (Dutch): Intermediate (B1+)

The mark of the midterm exam in January will count for 20% of the June final mark if > or = 10/20 (the mark will have no effect on the final grade if it is lower than 10/20). The final exam for this course is cumulative.
