The objective of this course is to help students expand their grammar and specialized vocabulary in order to enable them to understand a scientific text related to the field of criminology.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Although the course is intended for beginners, a basic knowledge of English is essential.

A refresher course in grammar will be organized during the first semester. Students who score less than 8/20 on the exemption test are strongly encouraged to actively participate.

Students also have access to the Interactive Basic English Grammar (GABI) via eCampus. We encourage all students to work on it regularly as a supplement to the course.

Finally, beginners or those needing to strengthen their basic knowledge can attend additional language training. The ISLV offers a wide range of options. For more information, visit the portal at https://www.islv.uliege.be. Registration for the first semester closes on September 29, 2024 (online registration only).
