Additional explanations:

1) Students will have to take a vocabulary test. This will involve translating isolated words from French into Dutch. This vocabulary test will be waived for the written exam in June if the student obtains a minimum of 10/20 in the test. If they obtain a mark of less than 10/20, they will have to retake the test in the written exam (if they do not retake it, they will get a zero for this part of the exam). The vocabulary test accounts for approximately 10% of the mark for the written exam.

Written and oral exam in June.
2) The written exam will cover the vocabulary (+-30%) and grammar (+-30%) covered in Q2 and will also include writing exercises (+-20%), as well as the basic vocabulary test (10%) for those who are not exempted. The written exam will count for 75% of the final mark.

3) The oral exam will consist of a dialogue in groups of two students on the topics covered during the course. It will count for 25% of the final mark.

PLEASE NOTE: students must register with their teacher (in class or by e-mail) BEFORE 30 APRIL for the oral exam, otherwise they will not be able to take it. As a reminder, absence from any part of the exam = 0 for the whole exam.

For the second session, registration for the oral exam must be made before 31 July. Students may be exempted from the oral exam in second session if they obtained 10/20 in first session.
