The course is focused on teaching the specific pitfalls that academic English presents to foreign learners. This includes grammar, linking words and vocabulary.

Students will receive a third of their marks for class work.
33% Presenting the content of an academic text
The exams will provide the other two thirds of the marks
33% for a written exam. Students will be asked to write an abstract for an academic text
33% for an oral exam. Students will be asked to present the pertinent data located within an academic text

Weekly sessions of 2hrs each.
Students are encouraged to train writing abstracts to avoid the pitfalls thereof.
