Topic of the 2. Master Landscape Territory module : Landscape and Economy
First course in Brussels on September 19th 2024.
The Option paysage will deal with the question of economy in the urban landscape.
It will be the question of identifying this urban landscape, to evaluate, define the tools and to develop methodologies for its handing-over, while finishing by the development of scenarios and structure schemes for the future urban landscape.
The following questions will be discussed: which long-term development, which recommendations for the future, which management necessary, which diversity?
The sessions are operated on site in Brussels.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The « Questions d'Architecture » en Paysage & Territoire 2nd Master consists in a pluridisciplinary interventions, starting with the landscape as central element, included in the territorial project and urban planning, as well as the role of the landscape in the sustainable city, considering also the aspects of territorial ecology, regional development, sustainable urbanism, workshops and case studies linked to the theme.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Notions of Landscape architecture and territorial design, capacity of analysis and integrattion, french language.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The work of the 2 modules is focussing on the analysis, the disgnostic and elaboration of scenarios for the urban landscape and the water management in Brussels and other regions in Belgium.
