Compulsory support seminar involving the active participation of students. This seminar aims to guide students in the production of their internship report and their dissertation.
More than 3 unjustified absences from this seminar lead to adjournment.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills
It is imperative that the student has validated the course SOCI2261-1 Initiation à la recherche en développement et coopération internationale (en ce compris le travail personnel)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Sessions will alternate between ex cathedra lectures, individual student presentations, peer reviewing, individual production and formative assessment.
A work schedule is communicated at the beginning of the year. This schedule indicates all the intermediate productions expected for each session.
Failure to complete these intermediate productions may result in the jury refusing to allow the final work to be submitted at the end of the year (internship report and/or dissertation).

In Q2, due to internships and fieldwork, the sessions will take place online until the spring break. The "return from internship" session is therefore in person.

In accordance with what is indicated in the Internship and Dissertation regulations (see Faculty website),
- the internship (evaluation by the internship supervisor and internship report) counts for 40%
- the dissertation - working paper counts for 60%
- failure of one of the two parts of the work (Internship or dissertation) results in a failing grade for the entire course.
- Similarly, failure to submit one of these two parts results in an absence grade for the entire course.
- Failure to comply with the admissibility criteria will result in the adjournment of the written work concerned.

Formative assessments will take place all year round to help students complete the final certification products: the internship report and the dissertation (see the regulations). Failure to complete these intermediate productions may lead the jury to refuse the submission of final work at the end of the year (internship report and/or dissertation).
