Learning unit contents

The course will help students to study the diplomatic documents produced during the Middle Ages and the Modern Times, to understand the various aspects of their making and, especially, the rules of their scientific edition.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Knowledge of diplomatic documents produced during the Middle Ages and the Modern Times, of their making and of the technics required for their edition.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

A sufficient mastery of paleography, as taught in BAC by J. Maquet, is almost a prerequisite.
