Learning unit contents

Two subjets are aternatively proposed from one year to the other ("Prehistoric violences" "Sex, sexuality et sexual division during Prehistory").

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Through these two different topics, very discuted in our society, the whole set of methodologies used in prehistoric research today are presented, with a series od case study from the Lower Palaeolithic to the Iron Age. The students will be able to think about preconceived ideas on these old periods, and on the means that we can use today to modify these ideas.

Duration and period: 30h + 10 days of excursions, trips and field training, 2nd term.
Classroom and schedule: Prehistory Museum(building A4), Tuesday, 2-4 pm.
