Learning unit contents

This business game is a pedagogical tool that allows participants to concretely manage a virtual company. The company, its market and its competition are modelled on reality through simulation. A computer analyzes the decisions of all the companies, by integrating the socio-economic indicators of the economic situation.
As a member of the management committee of one of the companies involved, you will be required to define policies (commercial, production, social and financial) and to participate in decision-making.
The quality of your management will depend on the consistency of your decisions in relation to the objectives you have set yourself and the results obtained, in particular in the following areas :

  • the company's position on the market, in relation to its competitors
  • financial picture
  • social environment
  • development perspectives

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of the simulation, the participant will be able to :

  • understand the different activities and functions of the company
  • acquire through practice a sense of effective management
  • learn how to define policies, deduce objectives and compare achievements with objectives
  • practise decision making based on constraints (particularly commercial, financial, production and personnel requirements)
  • understand the interdependence of the different variables
  • develop generalist, problem-solving and leadership skills
  • develop implementation, cooperation and integration skills
  • assess the relationships between the way a management committee operates and the results it achieves
