Learning unit contents

Following an introduction on the basic principles of radioactivity and of stable isotopes fractionation, the course is devoted to the geochronological and petrological applications of several isotopic systems.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The intent of this course is to provide the basic principles of isotopic geochemistry.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Geochemistry (GEOL0206-3)
Magmatic petrology and metamorphic petrology (GEOL1035-1 et GEOL1036-1).
