Learning unit contents
After introducing regional diagnosis, the course presents the main tools to collect and analyze information (Oral survey, observation, landscape analysis, etc.) and tools to assess regional development and foresight. Special attention is given to participatory approaches.
An important chapter is dedicated to Oral Surveys and interview techniques, including the analysis tools. The students will conduct one survey dealing with a nature area (Research questions, questionnaire, test, survey, coding, analysis, statistical tests and report).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The lectures and the exercises present tools and prepare the students to construct and implement a survey. Students work in collaboration at the diagnostic.
