Learning unit contents
The course covers a series of key concepts about urban ecology and about the impact of urban development on (natural) landscapes: anthropization of landscapes and ecosystems, "choralogy", definition of "urban", urban microclimate, urban biodiversity and urban green infrastructure analysis.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
After the lectures, students are expected to understand, interpret and apply some key concepts on urban and landscape ecology, and to understand the ecological specificities of the urban ecosystem.

Basic concepts in ecology and geography.
