Learning unit contents

The course raises awareness about the transversality and complexity of regional planning and its contribution to food and energy security. Through the case study of national and regional territorial development plans from the South, the course criticizes the main approaches and tools. The course also introduces the primary territorial diagnostic and foresight tools within the framework of a Nexus approach.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

- Use territorial diagnostic tools - Make a plural reading of a territory. - Criticise strategic documents.
- Develop a work plan to establish a development plan for a territory taking into account food and energy issues.
