Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

This course involves carrying out a technical project in the field of geographic information science with a relatively high degree of autonomy. The subject of the project changes from year to year and draws on the skills acquired in the GIS and Advanced GIS courses. It usually involves the following stages

- spatial database design
- Spatial data processing and integration
- Analysis and visualisation

All of which can be carried out using a server-based approach.
The project is intended to be "professional" in its execution, management and presentation.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of this course, students will be able to apply the theoretical and technical aspects covered in the GIS and advanced GIS course to a project subject to constraints similar to those encountered in the professional world.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

GIS, databases, programming

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

A session is dedicated to the presentation of the project's specifications. The student will then have to do the work autonomously and find information in books, on the internet or by contacting the teacher.
