Learning unit contents
Strategies for managing buildings, structures and infrastructures in reinforced concrete
Pathologies of concrete, steel, natural stones, masonry, wood and structures
Auscultation techniques and laboratory analysis
Products and techniques for maintenance and repair
Definition of underestimated actions and of design weaknesses: thermal effects, effects of deformations, fatigue, vibrations. Description of techniques and calculation problems specific to repairs.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
To be able to give a diagnosis of a concrete, stones, wood and masonry structure, on the base of laboratory analysis and investigation techniques, and to propose products and techniques for repairing

It is mandatory to participate to the visit on site. Students who would not participate cannot present exam.
