Learning unit contents
The students can choose from the following list of themes:
Self-Management
- Intrapersonal regulation: monitoring and modifying internal states. How to increase your emotional balance
- Effective ways to take care of yourself and increase resilience and antifragility (growth through pressure)
- Awareness of different aspects of the self. Bridging the gap between the actual and the ideal self
- Enhancing response flexibility, i.e. tempering reactivity and increasing the capacity to choose by creating mental space between input and action
People Management:
- How to motivate others and increase their engagement and commitment
- Insights into leadership roles and styles
- Teaming, trust and vulnerability
- To coach for results and across cultural differences How to give and receive feedback & install a feedback culture
- Managing and leading by objectives: delegating without worries
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the seminar, students will be familiar with interesting and useful concepts in the area of self-management and people management. Moreover, students will be challenged to enhance their self-knowledge in these two interrelated domains, and to improve upon their people management skills in interpersonal conversations and as a team leader.

Organisational remarks and main changes to the course
The seminar will take place at the Kloster Heidberg in Eupen. It will be organized over a weekend from Friday 5pm until Sunday 1pm.
