Learning unit contents
The course covers the law of the International Labour Organisation, the social law of the Council of Europe and the social law of the European Union. With regard to the latter, it focuses primarily on phenomena specifically linked to European economic integration, such as social competition and its supervision by the law on the posting of workers, as well as the free movement of workers and the necessary coordination of social security systems that goes with it.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the course, students should be able to present a precise legal analysis of one of the issues addressed in the course, to reason autonomously on a factual situation related to the subject and to propose informed and lucid reflections on the issues at stake in European and international social law.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
General knowledge of Labour law and of EU law.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Ex cathedra course. Students will be invited to prepare for certain class sessions by reading scientific articles or case law decisions. The list of texts to be read will be provided at the start of the academic year.

The pwp used during the oral lesson will be put online after each class session to help students complete and organise their notes, which are still essential.

Oral examination. The professor reserves the possibility to replace the oral exam by a written exam depending on the number of students.
In the examination, students may use a code drawn up by a private publisher, a collection of legal texts that they have prepared themselves and the texts to be read for the course. These documents may not contain any annotations or personal comments, with the exception of article-to-article references. Blank Post-It notes are permitted. The use of fluorescent markers or underlining is permitted.
The main assessment criteria include the student's ability to develop a legal argument, articulating the supporting arguments in a logical, rigorous and coherent manner.
