As a preamble, this Oral Care Plan course addresses the problem of the difficulty of access to dental care (preventive and/or therapeutic) for certain specific populations, but also the awareness of the medical world in the broad sense with regard to concerns the well-being of people and the repercussions that oral problems can have on general health. This concept of oral care plan places the patient at the center of various stakeholders, health professionals. The theoretical concepts taught in the Oral Care Plan course will address - the importance of a complete and systematic care by the oral hygienist within the framework of these professional skills - the importance of establishing a preventive oral care plan when the state of oral health requires it - the importance of inter-professional collaboration with the entire medical body and/or communication with families or caregivers. - the notions necessary for the establishment of an oral care plan - the notions necessary for the realization of an oral care plan.

Particular attention will also be paid to specific populations who cannot easily access oral care and the various possible treatments (included in the professional skills of oral hygienists) to improve the oral health status of these populations. At the end of the Oral Care Plan course, you - know the indications for the realization of an oral care plan. - know the procedures for implementing an oral care plan - be able to design and implement an oral care plan by adapting to different specific populations. - be able to identify the brakes and obstacles to the realization of an oral care plan. - be able to choose the appropriate strategies in terms of education and/or treatment, using primary and secondary prevention treatments. - be able to give information to a patient concerning the improvement of his oral health. - be able to transmit useful information to all the medical staff responsible for the medical or dental (therapeutic) care of the patient. - be able to propose educational activities to improve the oral health of certain specific populations.

Additional information:
A certification assessment in the form of a written exam will be carried out at the end of the first semester. Questions of the MCQ/QRM/or/or type, matching tests make it possible to verify knowledge and understanding of the concepts taught. Open questions (with short answers (QROC)), texts to be completed and matching tests, scenarios assess understanding and the ability to apply the concepts taught. The terms and conditions of the 2nd session certification evaluation will be similar to those of the 1st session. Individual consultation of exam papers is possible after deliberation for individual feedback (by appointment).

A certification evaluation will be organized at the end of the semester.
As part of this course, a written work and an oral presentation will be required of you (activity sheet available on the ecampus platform).
These two activities will be the subject of a formative and non-certifying evaluation.
