Description of the teaching unit:


This teaching unit aims to prepare students to design a digital media education activity.

  • Introduction
  • Part 1: Designing a Digital Media Education Activity: Key Elements, Methods, Resource Selection, and Assessment.
  • Part 2: Workshop: Creating a Digital Media Literacy Activity for Teenagers. Follow-up Sessions.
  • Part 3: Running the Activity.
  • Part 4: Critical Reflection
 

 

 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of this unit, the student will be able to design a digital media education activity adapted to a teenage audience and to take a reflective look at its implementation.

 

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Pre-requisites: Block 1 courses.
 

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Oral lectures with student note-taking; discussion of proposed readings (see eCampus); workshop and follow-up sessions, experience working with a teenage audience.

The evaluation of the course will be based, on the one hand, on the design and implementation of a digital media literacy activity and, on the other hand, on the recording with reflective feedback of this activity in a written report.
