Learning unit contents
The workshop aims to introduce students to the practice of directing (writing, location scouting, shooting, post-production) a short documentary.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The objective of this course is to enable students to acquire the basic knowledge and skills needed to write and direct a short documentary film. This initiation will allow them to question notions such as the point of view, the choice of framing, the importance of sound, the time and rhythm of editing, etc... which are essential to the creation of a film.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Students who completed the Audiovisual techniques course (CINE0039) will have a valuable advantage. The students without technical experience will be offered a shot remedial course within the workshop.

The practical work done by each student is the main focus of the workshop.
