Schedule
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Learning unit contents
This course makes it possible to apply the concepts seen in the course "Sustainable construction techniques for AI Buildings - elements - Part A."
Through a practical case of simple individual housing, the students study the implementation of different construction techniques by considering the main technical constraints related to building construction: stability, thermal and acoustic insulation, and airtightness. water and air.
This practice is done through the realization of plans, sections, facades and details of execution.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of this course, the student should be able to:
Observe and represent the construction;
Know the main load-bearing and envelope systems;
Know the main construction materials and their implementation techniques;
Apply and propose coherent architectural measures for stability, thermal and acoustic insulation, and water and air tightness.
It must allow the student to:
Inventory: reference and understand common construction systems;
Compare: identify and differentiate solutions;
Naming: recognizing and knowing the parts of a constructed whole;
Proportion: materialize and order the different parts of the work;
Project: compose and communicate solutions;
Create and design a building with constructive scales (modules, proportions, dimensions, thicknesses).

All sessions combined
- Face-to-face
Oral assessment
Continuous assessment
Additional explanations:
Continuous assessment is carried out based on various practical work carried out during the semester. It can be individual work or group work.
The oral examination concerns the individual defense of the practical work carried out during the semester.
The repeated absence (from two, without justification) from the course sessions can lead to a penalty of points or, if necessary, if this takes on harmful proportions to the work of the group or a student to his exclusion from the course. assessment (conditions valid for the group or the student concerned, depending on the case). Attendance at field days (site visits) is mandatory. Similarly, the production of an incomplete work or its delivery outside the agreed deadlines will result in an automatic withdrawal of points or, where applicable, exclusion from the evaluation if the shortcomings are such as to prevent the proper understanding of the entirety of the work.
Work placement(s)
Organisational remarks and main changes to the course
Unjustified absences (beyond two times) will disqualify the student from attending the final evaluarion.
