Learning unit contents

This course addresses key issues in political anthropology through an exploration of various thematic entries. The first part is devoted to the foundational works in the anthropological study of politics. The second deals with more recent developments in this field, building on specific case studies

 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The objective of the course is to give students tools to analyze political processes from an anthropological perspective. To do so, student will be expected to read and discuss scholarly articles in class.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Some of the readings will be in English. Good reading skills in English are therefore necessary.
