Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The objectives of this course is that students should:

1) acquire a good understanding of what Corporate and Social governance are, their importance, and consequences if they are not well established or taken into account.

2) be able to analyze the impact of corporate and social governance on companies

3) understand the role and influence of stakeholders

4) become aware of the differences in the regulatory framework of corporate governance in  some key countries

5) manage to identify key parameters/criteria used by investors to assess corporate and social governance,

6) be able to illustrate through examples.

No prerequisite knowledge nor skills required for this course.

Ex-cathedra course illustrated by examples and/or a case study, together with quiz/MCQ and interactions with students.

Informations complémentaires:

During the year and for the first session of exams :

  • Permanent evaluation during the lectures (attendance to the lectures, students' active participation, Wooclap test, ...): 20%
  • Evaluation after the lectures : Paper/Study work (individual or in group of 2 to be decided with the students): 80%
For the second session of exams, individual paper/study work. The students who have presented it during the first session have the possibility to improve and resubmit the paper they presented or do another paper. For the students who did not present their study work in the first session of exams, they will have to do so in the second session.
