Study abroad and internships
There are over 200 partner institutions in more than 20 countries that can host you for Erasmus placements. Dual degrees are also an option, specifically in the United Kingdom at Cranfield University, in Italy at the University of Bologna or at a wide range of impressive universities from Norway to Germany, including France and Spain through the TIME (Top Industrial Managers in Europe) network. The THRUST network welcomes students at Duke University (North Carolina, USA), Thessaloniki and Stockholm. The "Erasmus Mundus" EMSHIP+ and EMERALD training programmes also offer many opportunities abroad. There's certainly no lack of opportunities to earn an additional degree and spend a year abroad. The internships are also located in many different overseas destinations: China, United States, England, etc. There are plenty of options. Lastly, many of the competitions open to students have an international dimension.
You'll quickly become aware that the international dimension is evident throughout the whole degree programme. In order to encourage you to broaden your horizons, discover other cultures and meet students from different countries, there are many opportunities and ways to open yourself up to the world which go beyond the Erasmus placements.
A study abroad placement during the course remains one of the most popular paths for mobility and its effectiveness in terms of training, culture and personal development is undisputed. Study abroad provides the perfect opportunity to practise a foreign language on a daily basis, to discover subjects from a new angle and to thus garner a unique experience in either Europe or further afield. ULiège does everything it can to ensure that you are fully informed and prepared. It offers:
- information sessions;
- international days;
- language and inter-cultural training.
Once you have graduated, you will also have the opportunity to apply for an Erasmus+ grant to undertake an internship abroad and acquire your first international professional work experience. ULiège also offers its students internships in the cooperation and development sectors.
