Learning unit contents
The internship proceeds in a belgian training institutions called "Haute École" et "Promotion Sociale". The intership will lead the student to :
Design didactic situations for futur teachers (FT) including:
A comprehension of FT' initial representations;
The teaching of theororetical framework;
The design, with the FT, of teaching sequences adaptated to their internship field;
The realisations that the FT must give you at the end of their own internship.
Manage the transfert of those learnings and productions:
On the field (2 FT);
Systematicaly trough each documents.
Design a synthetic sequence fostering conceptualisation of practice.
Collect appraisal data during a final representations evaluation.

The internship aim to help students to enhance their traning skills and to take part in collective tasks of the profession.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
All the activities to be carried out represent a total of 10 ECTS (300 h) distributed as follows:
30h on the work placement :
observation of the supervisor prior to taking charge of the class (6h)
Collecting and sorting data from students for the report (4h)
taking charge of teaching activities (10h)
internship visits (4h) - 2 different FTs to observe (WITH your internship supervisor)
participation in collegial facets of the profession (at least two different activities: 6h)
220h preparation of teaching activities
50h preparation and writing of internship report

Additional information:
The evaluation (100 points) will include the following components:
1. Analysis of your development as a trainer (5 pages maximum) (15 points), enriched with theoretical elements from the course notes and traces from the raw data.
2. Description and critical analysis of your methodology (15 points), supported by traces from the raw data.)
These two components make up the written internship report.
3. A critical analysis of the development of your FT (20 points), illustrated by traces from your internship and theoretical references from course notes and books provided. You must be able to give a precise answer to the following question: "Show how future teachers have evolved (or not) in terms of their operative skills and identity".
This is the oral examination.
4. Certifying evaluation by the University supervisor (35 points) and the internship supervisor (15 points).
This is the evaluation of your internship performance.
Please note! Each section (Analysis of your development as a futur trainer - Critical analysis of a methodology - Analysis of the development of FT - Supervisor's assessment and assessment by the internship supervisor) must be passed independently of the others to certify successful completion of the internship.
The evaluation criteria will be explain during the first lesson.
