Learning unit contents
After refreshing basic pharmacological knowledge, sedation protocols will be discussed in detail. Loco-regional techniques are displayed in a theoretical lecture and then practiced on cadaver specimens.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the course, the students will be able to sedate a horse and to provide loco-regional anaesthesia to perform dental procedure respecting safety, legal and animal welfare requirements.

Anatomy of the head.
Physilogy of the nervous and cardiovascular system.
Pharmaology of anaesthetic drugs.
