Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Learning unit contents
The objective of the course is to learn about the data that can be collected throughout the patient's care path within a hospital. They can be collected mainly through the computerized patient record (DPI). The information collected by computer can then be easily exploited at the level of research, teaching and service to the community. Furthermore, various types of human body material samples are also made available for research and are characterized by multiple data. The course will describe the objectives and activities of a biobank with the associated legal, ethical and technical constraints.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of this course, the student will have a better knowledge of:
- data collected during a patient's care journey in a hospital
- the use of this data (research, teaching, etc.)
- data associated with human body material
- missions and objectives of a biobank
