Learning unit contents
This teaching unit consists of an internship of approximately 2 months carried out in a company preferably or an academic laboratory.
Whatever the option you choose, it is your responsibility to find your internship.
Be proactive!
Several options are available to you :
1) This internship is independent of your thesis and you do it in a company or an academic laboratory.
2) This internship is the continuation of your thesis and you do it in the same company or the same academic laboratory as the one in which you are doing your thesis.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Professional experience in a company, deepening of skills, discovery of new complementary fields.
SWOT analysis.
Writing of an internship report.Presentation in 180 seconds. Development of a synthesis spirit and of an efficient presentation skills. respect of timing.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Successful completion of all learning units corresponding to baccalaureate and Master 1.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Learning activities and teaching methods will vary and depend on where the internship will be performed.
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
In face-to-face, the student will be required to follow the guidelines indicated by his/her internship promoter.

Additional information:
An assessment will take place in several parts:
1) Evaluation of the student's behavior and skills during the internship by the promoter and his team (weighting: 30%)
2) Internship report (weighting: 40%; promoter, jury)
3) Oral presentation and answer to the jury's questions: My internship in 180 seconds (weighting: 30%; jury composed of academics and people from companies). A penalty of -1/20 on the final score will be applied if the timing of the presentation is not respected (up or down).

* Company presentation / Presentation of the scientific environment of the host laboratory
* Description of the specific department and its challenges / Description of the laboratory and its research themes
* Specific objectives pursued during the internship
* Strategy developed to achieve the objectives
* Tools used during the internship
* Work agenda
* Description of a typical week
* SWOT analysis of the intern related to the internship requirements
