Research protocol and advanced research methodology for scientific information

This course is dedicated to preparing the end of study work related to the orientation and the writing of the research protocol. Application of the theoretical notions studied during the courses of "Transdisciplinary approach of public health issues (METO0750-2)" and "Documentary resources: Approach by conclusive data (METO1002-1)".

Practical work in epidemiology and health economics

This course is dedicated to preparing the end of study work and more particulartly related to the development of scientific arguments allowing the formulation of a research question. Application of the theoretical notions studied during the courses of "Transdisciplinary approach of public health issues (METO0750-2)" and "Documentary resources: Approach by conclusive data (METO1002-1)".

  • Formulate and scientifically rationalise an original research question related to Public health Sciences and justify the orientation chosen by the student.
  • Choose and rationalise a research approch to answer the research question.
  • Write scientifically with clarity, precision, conciseness and coherence.

Practical work in epidemiology and health economics

  • Define and implement the end of study work literature search strategy
  • Develop the end of study work scientific arguments.
  • Formulate the end of study work research question.
  • Write following scientific literature rules.

Assement methods and criteria will be left to each speaker choice and will depend on each student orientation.
Authorization to defend the end of study work is determined by the success (rating greater than or equal to 10/20) of this course. Therefore, failing the course will automatically imply an "excused from" MMEM0750-1.

Management of Healthcare Institutions and promoting health orientations will be supervised by Professor Michèle GUILLAUME and Mrs. Axelle Hoge.
Therapeutic patient education orientation will be supervised by Professor Benoit PETRE.    Advanced nursing practice orientation will be supervised by Mrs. Jacinthe DANCOT, Mr. Samuel STIPULANTE, Mrs. Yasmine ZEKRI.      Critical patient orientation - option Intensive Care and Emergencies will be supervised by Professor Alexandre GHUYSEN.
Critical patient orientation - option Perfusion will be supervised by Mr. Marc Gilbert LAGNY.     Epidemiology and health economics orientation will be supervised  by Professor Olivier BRUYERE.
