Learning unit contents
This course will be based on the learning of basic grammar and vocabulary.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Good knowledge of basic Dutch grammar, leading to an active use of the language.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Grammatical explanations followed by many different types of exercises. Reading exercises will be organized in Semester 2.
Basic vocabulary tests.

Grammar exam in june, reading comprehension and possibility to take failed vocabulary exams.
Vocabulary exams count for 25% in final result - grammar exam for 75% in final result.

Organisational remarks and main changes to the course
Participating in the course and attending classes with a hard copy of the syllabus are vital to the learning process.
There will be two groups for this course: A(msterdam) and B(russel).
You must stay in the same group the whole year.
