Learning unit contents
The course structure corresponds to the study:
- The forces present in an aquatic environement and the influence of ton the move - therapeutic implications
- Physical characteristics of aquatic environement - physiological consequences - therapeutic implications
- The significant infrastructure elements of the hydrotherapy center and more particularly the pool.
- The necessary equipment for the hydrotherapy care of a patient
- Indications and against indications of hydrotherapy
- Approaches / methods of patient care aquatic
- Of commonly encountered diseases
- The biopscychosocial component of hydrotherapy
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
after this course, students will be able to:
- Understand the hydrotherapy influence on physical, physiological and biopsychosocial aspect.
- To propose a rational management of pathology in hydrotherapy.
- To assess the value of hydrotherapy in support remaining attentive to the limits and contra-indications.
- to develop an exercise program adapted to the specificity and the evolution of the patient.
- To participate in setting up a hydrotherapy pool by bringing his knowledge of specific infrastructure.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
A good knowledge of the course of Physics Block1 Q1 (mechanical, fluid mechanics, ...) is necessary for the proper understanding of the topics.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
This course is based on ex cathedra courses, presented via audio-visual media.
A large number of photos, videos are used.
Many concrete examples will be shared to make this interactive course and promote the acquisition of knowledge.
