- establish an exhaustive bibliography on a chosen subject
- establish the state of the question
- formulate a problematic
- identify a research question
- decide on a research method
- build up a corpus of sources
- exploit a corpus of sources (identification, translation, interpretation)
- synthesise and communicate the results of his/her research in clear and precise oral and written scientific French
