Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The student will have the basic knowledge necessary for the understanding of atmospheric dispersion and the working knowledge of the simple operation of different categories of dispersion models. He/she will be able to use these models for the applications seen in the course and to represent the results of the models in QGIS software.
He/she will have acquired the necessary skills to correctly interpret the results of the modelling.

Bachelor degree including a course of basic chemistry.

Written exam in two parts:
theory
practical exercises (use of models, data processing).
Homework is considered in the assessment.
The duration of the exam is 04h. It will be in two parts: theoretical and practical
The final cote will be an average of theory and practice (i.e. [x/20+y/20]/2)
Theory: duration 01h30, book closed, neither computer nor gsm.
You will have a maximum of 4 theoretical questions on the following subject:
- The different types of model seen in session
- Machine Learning
- Chimera
- Atmospheric stability
Break (you can leave the exam room for 10 minutes)
Practical: duration 02h30, open book, with computer
Make sure that the software installed on your computer works correctly (e.g. R and QGIS). In case files are sent to you, test them before the exam.
You will have exercises related to:
- Digital discretization
- The use and results of Austal:
- The use and results of Atmostreet
- The use and results of ADMS
We will be present during the exam to answer any "bugs" of your computer
The details of the modalities and evaluation criteria are presented during the first courses.
If the final score is equal to or greater than 10, the teaching unit is successful.
If the final score is less than 10, the teaching unit fails. In this case, all subjects must be represented in the written examination. Report notes are retained if they are equal to or greater than 10.
The written exam is held on the same day for all subjects.
Exits the exam room is only allowed after 02 hours of examination.
The exam room will no longer be accessible to students beyond exam time (to the minute!).
Mobile phones and personal belongings are not allowed and must be entrusted to the supervisor.
