- The health sector in OECD countries : some figures and main reforms
- The Belgian context
- Uncertainty, externalities, informational asymmetry
- An econometric analysis of health expenditures
- The demand for health care and physician-induced demand
- Equity in the health care finance and delivery
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of this course, students will be able to :
- define and compare the different types of health care systems
- define the main economic concepts using the appropriate terms
- interpret the values of economic variables and the results of empirical economic analyses
- represent different concepts using graphs
- summarize texts (scientific papers, research reports,...)
