Learning unit contents

The main objectives of this course are : - Definition of the most important concepts and theories - Presentation of the main socio-economic under-development indicators - Critical description of structural modifications experienced by developing countries (DCs)

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Acquiring knowledge regarding the main concepts and relevant mechanisms for analysing DC economies
Being capable of applying the acquired knowledge to the analysis of issues specific to DCs.
Being able of establishing solutions to economic development problems.

The course will take place during the first semester. It is taught in English, but all the elements of the course will also be available in French.
