Learning unit contents
This course is divided into two parts.
Principles
The course focuses on mortgage and professional and consumer credit contracts. The different types of mortgage credits are examined in the first part of the course. Mortgage credit regulation, especially Book VII of the Code of economic law and transposition of the Directive 2014/17/EU, is analyzed. References are made to the law of obligations, in particular to the concepts of loan, credit, etc.
Drafting acts
In the part of the course, Pierre Joisten teaches how to assemble a mortgage credit file and how to draft a notarized mortgage credit contract.

Students must be able to understand the different types of mortgage credits as well as to prepare the relevant legal documentation.
