Learning unit contents

This course addresses key issues in political anthropology through an exploration of the Africanist literature. The first part is devoted to the classical themes of this body of scholarship. The second deals with more recent developments in this field.

 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The objective of the course is to give students tools to analyze political processes from an anthropological perspective. To do so, it proposes to make a detour via the African continent.
