The course is made up of 2 different parts : 1. The ration formulation for the the dairy herd 2. The metabolic nutritional diseases in dairy cow

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The course aims at training you to use your knowledge and undertsanding to formulate a balanced ration for the dairy herd following different goals :Optimize the use of feeds produced on the farm

  • The qualitative and quantitative milk production
  • The operation of the ruminant, including the metabolic nutritional diseases
The feeding of the dairy herd will be based on a practical case using a software.

The second objective is to study the main metabolic diseases of nutritional origin in dairy cows.

This course contributes to the acquisition of the following skills:

    1. Identify relevant qualitative and quantitative information related to an agronomic process
    2. Interpreting information related to an agronomic process in order to identify the main elements
