Anatomy of upper and lower limb.
1. Anatomy of the musculoskeletal system - Introduction.
2. Anatomy of the musculoskeletal system - Upper limb (shoulder and arm)
3. Anatomy of the musculoskeletal system - Upper limb (elbow and forearm).
4. Anatomy of the musculoskeletal system - Upper limb (wrist and hand).
5. Anatomy of the musculoskeletal system - Lower limb (hip and thigh).
6. Anatomy of the musculoskeletal system - Lower limb (knee).
7. Anatomy of the musculoskeletal system - Lower limb (leg and foot).
8. Anatomy of the musculoskeletal system - Comparative anatomy (revision course).
9. Anatomy of the musculoskeletal system - Anatomical sections of the limbs.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Master functionnal anatomy before appraoching therapy
- Understand and know the osseous and articular anatomical structures of the upper limb.
- Understand and know the osseous and articular anatomical structures of the lower limb.
- Understand the fundamental differences of function between the lower and upper limbs, in particular by the compared anatomy.
- Understand and know the distribution and the function of the various muscles of the members.
- Integrate into the osseous, articular and muscular anatomy the members.
- Understand what are the anatomical and functional characteristics which must be protected at the level of a joint to keep its normal passive and active functions: stability and mobility.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Nothing.
The first "Introduction" course covering the basic notions, plans and axes. It must be mastered from the start. It contains specific terminology that will be used throughout the teaching.
