Learning unit contents
The course is based on principal concepts of Calculus : real and hyperreal numerical lines; continuity, derivability, differentiation, primitivation and integration for functions of one real variable (with an inifnitesimal approach).
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Strategy :
The course will allow students to analyse the financial and economic context of a complex situation.
The course will allow students to understand the scientific and technological context of a complex situation.
The course will allow students to demonstrate scientific precision and a critical mind in the analysis of a complex situation.
Implementation :
The course will train the student to capitalize on the characteristics of a more and more digitalized world when confronted with a complex situation.
Quality and Performance Control :
The course will teach the students to use the appropriate analytical tools when analysing a complex management situation.
Communication :
The course will allow students to communicate efficiently, internally and externally, about a company, organization or project
Adaptability :
The course will encourage students to be curious and to show a scientific precision of academic level in their studies as well as in their professional life.
The course will encourage students to be creative and self sufficient in their studies as well as in their professional life.
Particularly, the specific objectives are
- learning of rigor in mathematics,
- applying mathematics in management,
- solving concrete problems,
- using and applying mathematical models.
- analyzing scientifically situations,
- solving problemes,
- modelizing,
- arguing,
- communicating.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Principles of mathematical reasonings ; elementary algebra, ; basic trigonometry and geometry ; theory of real numbers.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The lessons contain the presentation of the theoretical frame by the teacher and the solving of exercices and applications by the students. Some help-students and assistants are present to answer students' questions.
Non mandatory written tests can be organized during the semester.

A written exam will be organized in January. One can pass the exam again in June or during the second session. Any new result deletes the previous ones.
