Learning outcomes of the learning unit
To provide basics in mathematics to students majoring in bioengineering, with initiation to the main algebric and geometric tools and their applications in problem analysis and solution.
After completing the course, the student is expected to
- to give the equations (parametric, cartesian, polar, spheric) of straight lines, planes, lines ans surfaces
- to solve systems of linear equations via matrix.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Algebra, trigonometry and geometry of Belgian secundary schools with 4 hours/week in mathematics
