Learning unit contents
To gain a deep understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in gene expression. This course will also allow to the students to understand important differences between pro- and eukaryotes.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Basic knowledge in Chemistry, Biologie and Cellular Biology is necessary. This course is a follow-up of GENE9002
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching will be done in person, using slides. For some aspects, the students will be invited to consult internet links (videos, web pages, etc..). This information is not part of the teaching and is just suggested as complementary information. The slide shows will be accessible via the eCampus plateform. Quizz will organised at the end of each chapter, and the total Quizz results will be included in the final evaluation (20% max).

As much as possible, teaching will be done face-to-face, at Liège University. When required, the course will be given using the Teams platform live, or using pre-recorded videos with commentaries.

No class notes. Students are required to take notes during lessons. Slide shows for each chapter will be made available to the students on the eCampus platform.
